I’m trying my best to keep my mind occupied by getting out the house with my mum having a laugh but the thoughts are still there I still feel detached and panic thinking I don’t feel present in the moment. My emotions feel like they are switched off. I’m trying I really am but I’m getting so frustrated.

Struggling
Hi MegChilly and thank you for your post. It sounds as though things are still difficult for you and well done for keeping occupied and getting out of the house as these things will help. Please talk to your GP about how you are feeling as he/she will be able to help you. Also, there may be a mental health nurse attached to the practice who could help you with some coping strategies for dealing with the way you are feeling. Please ask your GP if a referral can be made. It is always helpful to do things we enjoy, so please continue to do this and talk about how you are feeling. The following website may be helpful to you---

Mind has a advocacy service which can also provide support. Have a look at A-Z of Mental Health on their website and you will find advocacy.
Also, please have a look at the Pinned Post section on Health Unlocked forum. Are any other forum members able to help MegChilly, please? Keep posting and take care.
