Hi , welcome to you.
I’m glad you found us here.
It has helped me a lot to be here amongst those who understand
Good wishes x
I am in my late sixties and in the past I was introduced to a Holistic approach to my conditions. The problem is in the UK resources are not infinite and it is difficult to control our conditions
I have a Congenital Memory disorder and A Reactive Depression that is affected by my Chronic Disabilities, related to PsA. i have health concerns now since circa 1984 and was medically retired in 1989.
How can we help ?

Hello and welcome Sharon.
This is a very supportive and helpful community of like minded members. Sorry to hear that you had a stroke and lost your Mum in the same week. However you are not alone and thank you for sharing your story with us. Can I ask are you in the UK please?
There is a lot of help out there for you, if you are.
Please keep in touch with us, do you have any specific questions for the members at this time if so we will respond and try and help.
Also with your knowledge of life I am sure you could help others on here to.
Best wishes,
MAS Nurse & Moderator.
Hi me too. I could have written this post. I started with depression around 7/8 and I am a similar age to you. My physical health was always very good and I could keep myself busy with work and a social life. In the past 10 years though I have developed some health issues, none of which will kill me, but which makes me a lot less active, and am sinking under them.
I try and look on the bright side though. I have my own home, enough food to eat, and friends. I don't have to work now as getting my state pension. Also I am grateful not to have any of the big killer diseases which so many suffer from. In other words I try and count my blessings too. There are so many worse off than we are with dreadful illnesses etc. x
