Hi how awful for you. One thing the CAB should be doing is getting you to do a list of all your incomings and outgoings. Once they have this and don't have the money to pay your creditors back they can contact them. By law they have to agree to either write this off or let you pay back a nominal sum ie £1 a month or something.
This is what they did for my sister when she was heavily in debt and it helped a lot.
However if they won't do this you can do it yourself by sending them your list and offering them a nominal sum. x
They have offered this but having a large amount of debt over me was just making me worse with my mental health, i feel this way the debts will be sorted I understand there could be some payments to make for a short period but income is a problem, as my debts are way over £20000 a debt management plan isn’t a option unfortunately, i have tried, I understand why your sister chose this route.
I just need to wipe the slate clean as to speak and in time i can get myself back in to work and lead a normal life.
Thank you for taking the time to respond i do appreciate it.
Will be going in to job centre to see about my application for universal credit/new style esa on ssp at the moment, been working for well over 19 years and the benefit system is very confusing for me.
