Ocd intrusive thoughts

Have just started on Luvox to help with my anxiety ocd I seem to be suffering from intrusive thoughts suicidal at times anybody took this medication ?

Hello James and thank you for sharing this post with us. The drug you mention is part of the SSRI group and do have serious side effects. Perhaps it would be a good idea to share this concern with your Pharmacist and certainly your GP. (There also should be an information leaflet in your packaging of the tablets). That way they can advise you as they do know all your medical history and the drug interactions.

Hi. I dont know about this particular medication. If it doesnt work after 6-8 weeks discuss the possibilty of taking Venlafaxine with your GP. It worked wonders for my intrusive thoughts / anxiety OCD. That is just my opinion and experience though. I've been on it for 3 years and swear by it, though as we know, what works for one might not for another. Also, go to the OCD UK website - lots on there about intrusive thoughts OCD and different ways of coping. Just remember you are absolutely not alone with it - it's just one of the many forms of OCD that you can get. Best wishes...
