Hello and welcome Daisy to this caring and supportive group of members. I see that you have also posted on another community. Also like the reply from that community, the members are from all over the world and supportive over the internet in a friendly forum.

The information that the other ambassador gave you is very relevant, the local papers, library and/or council probably know of suitable walking groups for you to join. Well done, I think it is very good that you are tackling your depression in a positive way.

Please do keep posting on this community as it would help to talk over how you are feeling and help others to try positive things like you.

Very best wishes to you Daisy and good luck.

MAS Nurse and Moderator.

Hi this is primarily an online support group and members can be anywhere so it's not likely you will find others to meet up with. You might but the best way to make friends here is to join in with posting and trying to help others. Always be careful with people you meet online though as I am sure you know anyway. x

Yes I would look for groups local to you in the libraries or via newsletters or charities or online if you know how to do that. Good luck and I hope you find some lovely people to share time with. You are always welcome here of course but as others have said we come from everywhere! I'm from the West Midlands and I find the libraries and sometimes the mental health charities are a good place to start looking. And as hypercat said make sure you are safe online and I'd say don't go on dating sites maybe just meetup sites for social activities in order to keep safe. Best of luck :)

Why don't you try dating sites? I've been suffering from the mental disease for a long time as well and haven't had serious troubles with IT. Just check this guide for San Diego hookup sites onlinehookupsites.com/san-d....

Morning again Daisy,

I've just sent you a message and I've just had another lightbulb moment.

Mind are running Wellbeing Walks - they just ran one in Upton, but they will be running more and Stepping into Nature are also running wellbeing walks (I'm working alongside them this weekend at an event in Dorchester called "Picnic in the Park" with Livewell Dorset, Active Dorset, Stepping into Nature and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group to help get people out and about, connecting with nature and our beautiful surroundings to improve their wellbeing.

Maybe we can set up a Tea & Talk Event in Poole? There must be more people out there that would just like that little bit of regular support.

Take care and hope that your day goes well.

Maria xx
