Hello so I've been on sertraline for months now and I've noticed the constant need to pee and I'm wondering if anyone else has had that too? I'm not sure if it's an effect of the tablets or something else but i will go for a wee then as soon as I sit or lay back down i feel the need to wee again. I had my docs appointment today and forgot to mention it so just wondering if anyone else has had this.

Sertraline
Hello Abby222 and welcome to this community. It is not listed as a common side effect but some antidepressants can affect the bladder. I am sure if any of our members have or had this experience they will share with you. I would certainly mention it on your next Doctors visit. Warm Wishes

I'm on 150mg Sertraline (4 years on, previously seroxat, Citalopram and initially Prozac, I've tried them all) a day for acute anxiety disorder and a history of clinical depression (20 yrs +) The only AD that caused me bladder problems, and the opposite to yours, was seroxat , it put me into retention and I couldn't pee at all. I would suggest getting your GP to do a urine dip test to check for UTI. Its so easy for us to blame all our ill's on the medication, but sometimes we are actually unwell physically.
