There are 2 bits to this poem but I have them the wrong way round.The poem should begin with the line,"O, for wash day with no blues" and end with "O, for that final curtain." I can't fix it.Sorry.I don't know how to delete the mistake.
I think they are great it would be amazing sitting in a little pub up in Orkney with a blazing big mantle log fire on a dark night and you telling them to an audience captivated in the moment.
There are many more stored away in my computer. If you don't mind, I will add a few. I have already added "The Basket". BTW, Chica is now lying with her soft head on my foot. She does this when she wants to be taken to my bedroom for the night.I wish you all a peaceful rest but, if you are in the UK, remember to put the clocks back an hour.
sounds good hope to read more over the next few days.i used to write poetry as well.i had one published in the herald about 98/99.it was about life on a boat I had just spent 3 weeks on sailing around the highlands.
