Not on any meds at the moment. Escitalopram not effective at all except to give me an irritated tickle and cough at back of throat. As soon as I stop taking the meds the irritation subsides. Does anyone else have this side effect? It's impossible to get any good sleep and citalopram has the same effect. When I told my doctor he looked a bit surprised.

I feel old, knackered and wonder what point there is to anything anymore. After all, what have I got to look forward to now? Old age is what's left!

Sorry but that's how I feel at the moment.

Hello, maybe you should try a new doctor or a new medicine? I take that too although it doesn’t seem to be making a difference lately so maybe I should stop. It helped for a bit. The first thing in a long time to help but lately not so much. It don’t help with the sleep as I was have anxiety that would wake me up. So my dr have me gabapentine for night and that helps.

I think you doctor should be more receptive to what you say. There are a lot of medicines out there and sometimes it takes a while to find the right one and at the right dose.

Do you have family and friends who can help you?
