The weather, tv, work, family. Anything interesting that has happened to you. That should take up a day!
The best way though is to ask them about themselves as everyone likes talking about that. x
I hate visitors for the very same reason. My closest friends understand this, and know not to outstay their welcome. I hate and really struggle with small talk ...
