Hi everyone I started on fluxatine then changed to sertaline 100mg it helps with my depression but now I am starting to feel low because I have lost my sex drive and struggle to get an erection.

Sometimes medications can cause these problems.

You can buy aids or medications at the Chemist, also medications that will aide your problem.

Check on the medication information leaflet in your Sertaline box that will explain any side effects.

You can have words with your GP if not happy, sometimes Depression and Anxiety can cause problems as well, if you are trying to perform

It is one of the side effects my doctor warned me about sertraline. The only change I noticed was a little longer to climax. Just let your doctor know and he can give you something to help with it or come up with a new medicine plan.

I've been on Sertraline for about a month, my doctor said it won't take effect for 3-4 weeks but within 2 days of taking it I had exactly the same problem you have. It's common, apparently 1 in 10 men will have this issue. Nothing worked for me for about a week which got very frustrating but has slowly started to come back. I'm still not normal though. I don't know how long you've been taking it but give it at least a couple of months and speak to your doctor if things don't improve. I'm due a review with my GP in a month so will see how it goes until then and ask advice if necessary.
