I used to take 50 mg too and it worked very well for me, I felt just as you say very low mood but that’s what I needed. I was too sad and crying all the time being worried all day long. And when I started taking sertraline it all stopped and I was left with a low mood.
low mood isn’t something bad really. And especially if there’s nothing to be happy about, why would you go around and be overly happy? “Happy pills” won’t make you feel happy all the time.
I stopped though because there’s some awful side effects such as diabetes witch I sadly caught :/ but it’s very rare. You’ll be fine
And don’t be scared to take a 100mg, you shouldn’t feel too much of a difference since your body is already used to this substance. You can always ask your doctor if you may take 50+25 and see how you feel, I’m sure he’ll allow it.
Hi nics12
Because you have already been taking the Sertraline going to 100 should not escalate your mood too much .
I've been taking sertraline for several years and without a doubt the best anti anxiety/ anti depressive med that I've tried !
I have a history of depression and have taken many different tablets in the past - now I'm on this I cope very well and my depression is well under control and do not have those 'dark days'
Keep going with the sertraline .. my you feel the benefits .. the dr may keep increasing it until you reach a level that is right for you .. Am sure though the tablet will improve you ☺
OK ... well keep going with the Sertraline .. the max dose is around 200mg so the GP can always put you on a higher dose ?
Happy to talk
