This forum is not appropiate for dealing with schizophrenia. You will need to speak with a psychologist.

Pretty sure schizophrenia falls under mental health

Meant no offensive - just felt that as illness, it is not conducive to self-help treatments.

But please share your experiences as it may help others.

Good luck and take care.

I have schizophrenia. I've been dealing with it for five years. I take antipsychotics, but I still hear voices.

What's on your mind?

Schizophrenia comes under mental health and is entirely appropriate to discuss on here. You may get more help on a more specific site though. x

I have a psychiatrist and a counselor. I just feel alone with it.

bunnyrae, it is a very isolating illness and I know what you are going through.

I have no job and very few friends. Sometimes I just want to give up...

Do you still have symptoms, or have the meds worked for you?

I also have a psychiatrist, but the medication he prescribes me doesn't get rid of the voices.

Do you have anyone to talk to? I am extremely lucky to have a boyfriend who understands. It makes it easier... If not, keep talking on here... Everyone is very kind.

Yes I’m on meds. They help a lot but when I’m stressed or anything the voices and hallucinations come back.

That's what happens to me. I had a relapse in 2015 when I was working and was very stressed. Now I am unemployed, but searching for another job. When I go to my Spanish classes in the evening, I hear the voices more loudly than when I am at home.

You say your husband doesn't understand, but how about in your family?

My family doesn’t like to talk to talk about. I like I’m a burden or complaining. So I talk to counselor. I have a new job that stresses me out. I work in fast food. The drive thru bothers me the most.

Hi. I'm suffering from schizophrenia & am prescribed Clozapine. The clozapine helps but I had adverse side effects from it. My dose is 250daily. I'm also attending a psychiatrist.

Not what you're looking for?
