You could be. It depends on your age or circumstances. You don't give us much information. If you are part of a couple etc it will make a difference. Best thing is to go and ask at your local Citizens Advice Bureau, or Benefits agency.

You can only know this by applying for benefit. No one on here can tell you if you are eligible. For details of benefits look at Gov.Uk and this will tell you everything you need to know. x

Hi Daniellejohn1234, anxiety is tricky, we all feel it in some circumstances, it's perfectly normal usually.

Benefits are available depending on your situation, you might be entitled to ESA and maybe PIP.

Anxiety isn't an excuse to get benefits, we all get anxious in situations such as a job interview, first day at school/work, getting married etc, I'd say that's 'normal' but when it becomes irrational so that you can't leave your house, can't get on a bus etc then it does become a problem.

I've been told so many times to 'get over it' sometimes you can in 'normal' circumstances but when it goes beyond that you need to get some help. Having said that claiming to have anxiety isn't a route to increased benefits.

I don't want to be judgemental, you didn't say much about your situation, I've been on both sides of this, having a partner with severe anxiety and suffering myself.
