Hi, you might find more people on other forums, but I wanted to say hi. I am on the spectrum myself, but my better experience would be in my job, which is SENCO of a large school with lots of children with diagnosis of ASD. I am off at the moment though, as having a few difficulties of my own, so plenty of time to chat x

My 9 yr old son is going through ASD assessment at the moment. He has struggled with bullying and anxiety and has real trouble going to school. I guess that is why I first found myself on here in the first place. I think of myself as a strong person but sometimes I just find it all so exhausting and draining. It can be hard.

How old is your child?

Hi sorry for delay in replying. My son is 14 and I have been home schooling him for about 4 years now. It has its own problems but he is much happier and not so angry. He is epileptic as well and the school just couldn't cope with it. He was also bullied and would get hysterical every morning. He had so many days off that in the end for both our sakes I decided to teach him at home.
