I felt the need to write this message, to all those who feel lost, alone, who fight the never ending war with your own mind, I know how hard it is, how brutally difficult it is to get through the day, but I’m proud of you, I’m proud of us.
You may not be where you want to be in life but you are here fighting and that is a massive accomplishment, we all have our war wounds, our battle scars, hold onto the hope, look for light in the darkness and keep fighting.
One day i hope, our pain will be worth it, when we finally win our war and step out of the darkness, we can stand proud, strong. Depression, anxiety tried its hardest to beat us but in the end we won.
In the end we earned our place in the light.
God bless you all

Thanks. Depression can be very serious. My brother has it. It hurts watching him. I've had it.
I say there is always a reason to find something to fight for in life. It doesn't matter if it's volunteering, getting benefits, finding the right prescription drugs, whatever. Just keep on keeping on and things will improve if you move in the right direction.
Depression can be both a GP level problem and a mental health professional / psychiatrist level problem. Have you tried exploring both domains? A variety of medications to choose from? Mindfulness?
This is a very nice post. I have my problems, but my husband has wounds that I'm not sure will ever truly heal. He has night terrors, flashes from war, and other long term abuse and neglect from growing up. He has come so far, but he still has severe struggles. I sometimes find myself in the blast zone and I lose sight that he has this internal battles. He loves me, I know. But some days, I struggled very hard to find the strength to keep carrying on and feel like I'm just another one of his burdens.
We are strong, all of us. We will overcome whatever struggles we face.
You are indeed strong, being there for your husband as well as keeping strong for yourself.
I’m sure you are no burden to your husband, in fact I believe he cherishes you very much and knowing that you are there for him, must be such a help for him.
I know it’s very tough but we can get through this, if you ever need a chat, I’m here.
