Disaplinary action

So dissapointed after hitting rock bottom and having to be off work & seeing a councillor that I have now had a phone call off work explaining they will be giving me a disaplinary as I've just had time off for an operation.

So upset with myself for being off work and this has made it even worse for me.

Hello Kayshasmith1

I am sorry that you are having such a difficult time at the moment.

Thanks for sharing this with us. Perhaps you cold tell us more about your illness and your operation? Our members are very supportive and may have more information and support for you.

Does your work have an Occupational Health Department that you could talk to?

Keep in touch with us.

Best wishes

Have you had time off work apart from the time for your operation? I do think employees are allowed to take time off work to have a necessary operation. However if you have had depression, anxiety etc. and have taken excessive time off work for that as well, let us know and we will be able to advise you in a better way.

Well I am off now because of them. They moved me to a branch which takes 2 hours on 3 different buses just to get there i am setting off at 6:30 am and getting home no earlier then 7:50pm it's too much and has lead to a mental and physical flare up of depression & fibromyalgia.

Depends on how big the company you work for is, I guess. It's not fair that they moved you to a branch which takes 2 hours on 3 different buses. You are out of your home for far too many hours. Is there a Human Resources (HR) Department you could talk to? You should have the chance to explain what you are going through.

I'm having problems at work which are effecting my aches and pains. The stress is so unhealthy:( I hope things become easier for you:)

Had a few days at beginning the year but nothing excessive till my operation & now. But it's their fault I'm off in the first place. I have been in touch with occupational health and awaiting a phone call back off them but still think it's wrong I being disaplined due to existing medial conditions which they have caused to flare up. Xx

That kind of travel hard work full time and must be very draining, while we can all do it for short periods, long term it will affect your wellbeing, I don’t know what you do for work but is it possible to look for a different job ? Life is to short trust me I know.

Yeah life is too short.

At the Same Time it might be time to talk to a lawyer if you feel:

1) The work may have caused the condition

2) they are punishing you for taking Necessary time off for a blooming medical operation. They can't do that. Not in the ****ing civilised worlds.
