Hello everyone I'm tony 58 from Leicestershire. after suffering from depression for over 20 years with heath problems and marriage breakdown the only thing I find that helps and I do try and do it every day is a 5 mile walk in the countryside. I take my flask of tea and a bite to eat I am type 1 diabetic/ and I can honestly say every time I get home in the evening I'm so glad I did it and yes it does lift my mood. Take care everyone I do no what its like Tony Leicestershire.

I’m sorry things are so hard for you sometimes but it’s very admirable that you’re doing something to lift your mood! I’m always here. Good luck and blessings. 💞

Hi tonyn and welcome to the forum. It is great that you have found something you enjoy and lifts your mood. I used to be in a walking club some years ago and really enjoyed it. We met for weekend and evening walks. I like the photograph. Please stay on the forum where you will receive help and support from other members and be able to share experiences. Thank you and best wishes.

Hi ya thanks for the reply. I once joined a ramblers club and while I was really grateful for the company and people to chat to i had to give it up as I couldn't keep the pace up and found I couldn't stop and eat and drink as I needed to, as I'm type1 diabetic .its a shame really because I do miss a friend to talk to Tony.

Thanks for sharing your experience, nice pic by the way. You have accomplished to set an everyday routine outside, which for someone with depression is very hard to do.

Bear hug for you!

We´re on the same boat, so I truly empathize with you and everyone here struggling with this. Being around animals like that horse helps to relieve our anxiety and focus on the moment. Whenever I´m stroking an animal i feel better and forget what I was thinking - they drag me out of this dark cloud and feel joy for those very moments
