Hello there, I'm Gemma. Yes you can be sure there are many other people on here who feel the same as you so I am glad you have found this community. I am 59 and not been married or had children. I have some friends who are golden but also still sometimes it is lonely. I hope you can find more people on here to chat to and maybe pluck up some confidence to go to a group in your home town; often libraries and churches can offer helpful groups for meeting people and increasing confidence. X
Hi Nannysix6 and welcome to the forum. You will find other people to engage with on this supportive forum who understand how you feel. I am sure one of the other members will be along soon to introduce themselves to you. You made the decision to join this forum, which is a positive step, which proves you can make decisions. Start by taking small steps. Can you talk to your husband and family about how you are feeling and explain to them that you would like to make some decisions yourself and explain that you will ask for their support if needed? Even making a small decision will help to build up your self confidence [local colleges sometimes run confidence building courses]. Think about the things you enjoy doing and build on that. You have a lot to offer and you are not alone. Please let us know how you are getting on. Thank you and best wishes.
Ditto. I think lots of people are in our situation 😊
