Hello Abbi1960, thank you for your post and I am sure you will receive some helpful replies from those of our caring members who have moved house. Moving house is stressful and it is also tiring, but it is usually worthwhile once you have actually moved and unpacked. That is usually the time you begin to relax and find things that you like about your new home. While packing, try and do some each day and each box you fill, write on it in thick black marker exactly what is in each box, labels can also come in useful. That way, when it comes to unpacking, you can unpack the essential stuff first, like kitchen crockery, pots and pans. Try not to feel too overwhelmed by the move, and if you are taking medication it is important to keep taking this and keep it nearby when you do move, so that you are not having to search for it. Try to look on your move as an exciting time, which will have positives once you have settled. I really hope everything goes well for you. And perhaps our members can offer tips and their experiences of moving to Abbi1960? ,,,,,,,,,,,,wishing you lots of good luck for your move and take deep breaths when you start to feel stressed....with very best wishes...........

Hi Abbi1960. A stressful time, moving but great advice from MAS_nurse. Just a little tip. Put kettle, coffee, tea, sugar, cups and a couple of tea spoons in one box mark it with BOLD letters and let it be the last box out but the first box into the house ( kitchen). Every time I cleared a room I took a break and relaxed. I put on some crazy music, sang to it so loud and just let myself go. Great for clearing a little anxiety :)

Thank you for your reply. I have a red box ready for just those things you mentioned lol. But after posting that post I found out the buyers had pulled out. I still can’t believe it. I am so cross especially as I had fell in love with the flat I had chosen. I am not only mentally challenged but physically as well

Oh so sorry Abbi1960. What a s**. Love the red box idea though, much better than writing on it :) as for the move, I hope it’s a good sign in the future for you. Not easy to see how, now though. Take care and keep us upto date with progress. Oh and Mel263 great idea about music while you pack and you are right, so much junk can be cleared, but at least boxed and ready to go. Take care ladies xx

I am even more stressed and depressed the buyer pulled out and I have probably lost the flat I chose. What can I do except kill myself. I was so looking forward to moving into a new flat I feel so low
