I was certain getting up early to go to the gym just couldn't do it. My mind was made up that I am going to do it but I couldn't.

Maybe you were aiming too high, perhaps plan to go later in the day or start with a walk instead.

Hello su_mun, I am very sorry to hear that you are finding things difficult at the moment. But even when we are well, sometimes our motivation can let us down. Sometimes even the best plans can be interrupted because of illness, or tiredness or just that inability both mentally and physically to do what we had planned to do the day before. I know it can be easier said than done, but please try and not be too hard on yourself, as also advised by Rosepetal60. And there will be another day that you will be able to go to the gym or go for a walk or perhaps even a run with a friend may help. Try and just take one step at a time, if we rush into doing too much too quickly when we are not well, we can get very disappointed and feel despondent, and then we are harder on ourselves. Be kind to yourself and listen to your inner feelings and how you are at that moment, a little relaxation and a little mindfulness can be of help. Let us know how you are feeling and our other very supportive members will be alongside of you shortly, to share their advice and experiences. Take care of yourself and all good wishes

Your all absolutely right. I was trying a little too hard. Feel really happy and energised after attending circuit training last night. It really helped me to be amongst such positive people.
