Thank you for your post which sounds quite sad, and it seems as if you are finding life difficult since Christmas. Have you been able to talk to friends or family about how you have been feeling? But you have also taken the first step by putting a post on here. Perhaps if you could give us some more detail , I am sure that other members of this very supportive group will offer their advice and experiences and support for you.

It is always good to seek Medical Advice so that you can get a proper diagnosis and be given the support you need to help you feel better. So perhaps you may now feel able to make an appointment to see your GP , and be able to access Professional help, whether it may be through a combination of medication and counselling. Your GP. will be very familiar with people experiencing all kinds of mental health issues, and if you feel more comfortable with one doctor in your practice, then try and get an appointment with this particular practitioner.

You may like to take a look at the Pinned Posts to the right side of your screen, where there is some good information.

And the Samaritans is available every day 24 hours, if you would like to speak with someone directly and they are very empathic and experienced.

Hi nice to meet you. There are no health professionals on the site so we can't possibly diagnose you I'm afraid. Why not do a few online tests which might give you a guide.

It does sound very much like depression and maybe anxiety too but you need to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis and help. Don't be worried about going as your doctor has seen and heard it all. x

I agree with MAS_Nurse. A GP appointment is a good first step (I think I would ask the receptionist for a double appointment because you will need the extra time to describe to the GP what exactly you are feeling). But also talking to trusted friends and family and seeking other proper professional help to try to get an accurate understanding of why you are feeling like you are. Taking some sort of action is better than just worrying about it - it gives you control, plus most of our worries turn out to be inaccurate. Take care,
