Well today's been a horrible day for me. I came off my pills about 4months ago (was on them 4year) for the first 2/3 weeks I felt fine, still had my off days but I was ok. Now it's all come crashing down I really don't no what to do. I spend more time in my head then on this planet... I Feel no one understand. My partren is really supportive but I push him away a lot. My family just say chin up you have 2 beautiful children..I have life so good but yet still feel sooo low! Now struggling with work!! Feel doctors are not bothered they just wanted to up my dose.... all I want to do is feel normal :(

How quickly did you come off the medication? 4 years is a long time ...

I have been on my meds for 35 yrs. I am not planning coming of them until I pop my clogs. But I have clinical depression.

I no it's not what you should do but I just stopped taking them. Didn't cut it down. One day miss a day I just stopped 😯 thought I could fight the battle.

I did the same thing came off my pills 4 months ago and felt great but now its horrendous I been on mine 30 years gave me bad side affects had to take more pills because they took lineing off my stomach my doctor was no good said nothing he could do I understand what your going through

Sometimes when you come off meds you will feel awful. This can be due to withdrawal symptoms even if you did it very slowly, at other times then maybe it was too soon to stop them. I have heard you have to be feeling better for at least 6 months before coming off, but there is no guarantee your depression won't return.

Maybe you need to go back on meds?

If you are ruminating then maybe you still need some meds. It's horrible how unpredictable depression, meds and relapses are. Remember it's the illness not your fault. As for comments about cheering up, it's really unhelpful. No one would say that to a cancer sufferer who may be in remission or whatever. So just dismiss those comments as complete ignorance.

Equally, don't blame yourself for pushing away husband. It's totally symptomatic of depression and he should understand. You need to focus on you and getting better not being polite to others!

No one wants depression, it's not a choice. How your body deals with it makes it a very difficult illness to heal from. It takes time and a lot of combinations of effective treatments- all of which are nothing you can control. Go speak to doctor. Goggle natural antidepressants Steven ilandi to get scientific advice on things like sleep, diet, exercise to supplement meds and other therapy. I've been using Omega 3 for a month aand it's helped. Not a cure but really complements meds so I can start recovery instead of just being stable. Today is a bad day and there may be more ahead but you will get better.

Thank you for your support. Am going to make the step and call the doctors. Hopefully they can fit me in soon. Always a 2week wait which then sets my anxiety off but I need to do something...Just woken up and can't seem to stop crying. Better try and pull myself together. Work time! Ive been going to the gym for about 1years now try going 3/4 a week. It does help. I also take a few different vitamins but shall add the omega 3 as well. Am glad I've found this online. It's seems to also help and no longer feel so alone. Thank you
