Hi sam

First things first I strongly recommend that you try and change your GP you should never be made to feel like a burden you are suffering from a illness although not a visible illness that can be treated with a plaster or a bandage it is still a illness that needs to be treated, is there a different GP within your practice who you would feel comfortable talking to or could you change to a new practice? Please try and see some one different sometimes a different pair of eyes can make a difference, do you have any support at home ? My husband came to the doctors with me on one occasion it helped him to understand what was going on with me and he said it felt like he had supported me i hope you do begin to get things sorted out my thoughts are with you good luck
