we dont know which area you are in or where you live. try mind.org and see if you can find someone in your area. all the very best love grace, xoxo
If you have been to the GP, and you are in the UK, therapy should be offered to you as well as medication for depression. If you are in the UK, I would advise you to go back to the GP and ask them to refer you for therapy. There will be a waiting list. If you are outside the UK, I would advise you to find local mental health services/projects in your area, using the internet, there will usually be a phone number you can call.

Hiya, and welcome.
Good that you have a diagnosis - as you say, it is the first step.
As for what organisation offers counselling, it varies quite drastically from region-to-region. As others have said, your GP should be able to point you in the right direction, hopefully even put in a referral for you to the relevant people.
If you go to the NHS Choices website and search for IAPT you can search for self referral counselling that is available in your area.
Hello and welcome to the forum. You have some great replies above.
