Hi new here joined in the hope it will help in some way I suffer with depression but it's getting worse now it doesn't help wen you have people around you who are constantly at you or given you negative comments sometimes I feel like giving up

avoid the negative people, you don't need that around you.
I know I don't it's hard tho wen the negative people I see are some of my family
I totally understand, I was continually told to pull my self together by my mother and that is of no use whatsoever. If you had a broken leg or similar they would be helpful I am sure. Have you tried explaining to them just how you feel?
Hi Louise Louise. Depression. Is like a roallcoaster. One min yr high nxt yr down.u got to get the right anitdpresents. I've bin on about 4 different ones now.some gave me night means .then other ones made me wii alright. Nxt one stop me from sleeping.then hitching. Changing yr tablets ant good.my dotors r shit .up till now.im on now citalopram 10mg.i fill so much better I've bin on um 6weks .u got to get out even if it's a walk .don't stay in .coz I did .now it's taking time to just go shops .but I'm doing it.good luck 😀
Hi. I find that when I am falling and in a low place I seem to notice and focus on the negative things people say and do more then usual. I will then hold on to these and forget about or not notice the good things. A negative thought diary can really help with this. Have you tried CBT?

does keeping a negative thought diary really work what is CBT ?
It really does work. At first it will be pages long but after a while it will get smaller. Have a column for:
1. the thought
2. how you felt
3. what the rational thought could be
4. a silver lining.
So for example:
1. I am rubbish at my job
2. tired and unmotivated
3. It's ok to not be 100% productive everyday
4. I am lucky to have a job
Do this for every negative thought, when you complete all the columns you end on a positive so you are turning that negative thought around.
CBT is Cognative Behavioural Therapy, it is basically teaching yourself to think in a positive way and breaking the negative cycle
