Hi Beatnik, I am new here to. Yes I do feel like that much of the time at the moment. Strangely is better when i am at work but worse at home. I have antidepressants but I came off them a few months ago when things were good. I felt fine for a while but now I am back to square one. Do you take anything for anxiety?

Hi Mayday.29.Sometimes I take a beta blocker at night. Other anxiety medication makes me feel a bit out of it. I also take sertraline and dose is now 100 mgs and that has helped but not got rid of the knots completely.Chilling with friends often works but it depends on the conversation. Realising that thoughts produce these feelings helps too. Taking the risk of speaking to a friend who is not shocked or critical helps.

Thanks for your reply and I wish you well.

Hi Beatnik, is the setraline a specific anti anxiety medication? Can you take it along with antidepressants? Does anyone else know about this? I did have a tranquiliser type drug once but cant remember what it was, and dont want to get onto those again. Any other advice would be most welcome

Hi Mayday. Sertraline is an anti depressant and anti anxiety drug as far as I understand. That's what the leaflet inside the box says. My gp says it can be taken with beta blockers which attempts to stop heart racing. best wishes.
