Hi guys just a lil question, you knw when some says when ur low, depressed, u should write ur thoughts feelings down, what exactly do you put, smthing like "feeling such and such" r what, I'm gonna have a long wait to cbt, need to feel like I'm doing something
Hi Phil, I hope you're feeling as good as you sound. Photogeek has the right idea. I try to organize my writing also. It really helps when you're feeling bad and can't focus very well. I'll also mention if I'm feeling bad before I do something to see if I set myself up to fail. Shooting yourself in the foot I think it's called. Pam
Hi Phil. In addition to what the others have said, if let's say for example you're feeling relatively okay and then suddenly your mood drops, work out the thought process or event that triggered you. THEN, in the next column write down a positve thought that challenges the negative one. For instance:
"I'm going to be like like forever." 😢
"No I'm NOT ... where's the evidence for that?"😀
The idea is to challenge every negative thought you have about yourself and then replace it with a positive one ☺
✌
When you feel low put down why you feel the way you do and ways you try and lift your mood
Put down any activities you have been doing, family problems illnesses. Anything you feel is causing your Depression.
If you have been having treatments, explain how you feel, say after CBT etc.
I have done this a few times and I usually write down bullet points of what has or is going wrong in my life. I don't do it for a particular day, but I pick the worst points over the last few years and then next to them I write down how this problem was resolved or how I dealt with it (if it was resolved), this makes me feel more optimistic because I feel more hopeful that I can overcome my current low/depressed mood. I hope this helps.
I write down whatever is on my mind, it only makes sense to me as My mind jjumps about constantly, I found it useful to let my therapist read it as was easier than trying to remember the things I was thinking about.
Hi guys so far ive wrote 4 full a4 size pages, and way things r lately i think theres more to come
