I have just started counselling (again) after a breakdown a short while ago. My psychiatrist has asked me to keep a 'worry diary' to establish between hyperthectical (?) or practical worries. She's given me a template and instructions but I really don't know where to start. Have any of you every had to keep one?

sorry - not something I've had to do - it's hypothetical though - meaning that the worries are sparked by worrying about things that may or may not happen as opposed to practical worries being a response to actual situations.

May be you could attach a photo of the template - which might help in seeing what it means. - if you hit on the down arrow by your post and select edit - that would give you the opportunity to add a photo.

You could also leave a message for the psychiatrist explaining that you realise that you don't really understand what she wants you to do with the template and asking if she could contact to clarify.

Don't forget to add the not being sure what you needed to do to the template though :)
