Feeling at peace with myself today

I'm just thanking God and thankful that I'm am happy with myself and at peace with myself today. My hormones from my pmdd are low(which helps ALOT), I made some decisions to respect myself, in return those people will have a greater respect for me( really don't wanna go in details but my previous posts explains). I'm learning to continue to do things that make me happy and feel better. The #1 thing is to eat right, drink lots of water and exercise. Will everyday be this way? Hell no!! But I'm living my today. 😘

Peace

Shan

HI Shan, Excellent news. Good for you. I'm having a good day as well and I hear you with regards to whether it will last or not.

I drink a glass of water first thing in the morning and last thing at night as well as making sure I get enough during the day and I have noticed a difference just by doing that.

I hope you have a great day tomorrow and are still at peace with yourself. Let no one affect how you now feel. :-D

Hi 20voices,

great to hear from you and thank you so much! I'm happy you're feeling good today (yesterday est) as well. Although water is my least favorite, you're right about starting and ending the day with it. It does make a difference. I've also been eating a lot healthier. Not everyday but most days. Like yesterday I burned a hole in a box of cookies lol.

Also yes, I am working hard on staying away from circumstances that does more harm than good. It's a process.

Continued happiness for you,

Shan

Hi Shan, You are allowed a little slip every now and then. I've found a few healthy recipes for getting my chocolate fix when I need it. (Chocolate is my downfall when I am having a bad time).

Adding a little diluting juice to your water is good if you don't like plain water. I also know people who add freshly squeezed lemon or lime to their water to give it a bit of taste.

I used to avoid all situations that would affect me, but now I am feeling better I am pushing my comfort zone and actually going to places and doing things that I know would cause me to panic or make me feel unwell. I set myself goals and make sure I am well prepared. My first night back at my archery club was quite funny now that I look back on it. My goals were: Get in car with my bow bag, drive to archery club, get out of car, go into hall, setup bow, shoot arrows, pack up, get into car, drive home. I gave myself a mental pat on the back for each one I made. I was shaking like a leaf when I parked the car and it took a good 15 minutes of breathing exercises and motivational self talk before I could get out of the car. More breathing exercises were needed while I set up my bow. I didn't shoot many arrows, but was over the moon that I had gone into the club. Was truly exhausted when I got home and slept most of the next day, but was really happy I pushed myself to do it. I still need to prepare well when I go to the club and have my goals and "escape plan" just incase, but so far so good.

As you say it's a process and the more we push ourselves the better and easier it gets.

Take care.

Hazel
