Gallbladder surgery

In my job I have to do lifting as well as sit at desk and off at minute due to medical investigations had MRI done and got word back saying all looked ok operation still to go ahead in April but surgeon could not confirm if I'm having open surgery or keyhole but my question is how long do u get off work after surgery if people don't mind telling me

Sorry can't answer directly but my dad had the (keyhole surgery) >30y ago and had little/no time off. He recovered very quickly, back playing squash within a couple of weeks. Good luck.

Usually key hole is 2 weeks off work

I have had bad pain from gallstones for 30 years now. But my brother had his out a few months ago with a keyhole. He was in surgery 45 minutes and had to take it easy for a few months but he's been fine
