What's best to unclog my ear?
You can ask at your nearest pharmacy for a preparation to loosen the wax. Do not poke anything into your ears to try and remove it or you could damage the eardrum
Will they be able to do that with the Covid going on though?
Pharmacies are all open and you can still ask them for advice.
The preparation is likely olive oil. If you have some in the kitchen then you can blob some (tiny amount) of this in with a medicine spoon or something. 'Earol' type preparations from the pharmacy tend to have a squirter device which makes it easier, but like I say, olive oil... (Not any other kind of oil).
repeat for a few days and then the wax will loosen.
If you go to a Drs and ask for treatment they will tell you to go home and do the Olive Oil trick for a few days then they will syringe your ear out
Ear wax preparations are not just olive oil but will contain an ingredient to help break the wax down to avoid syringing (a service that not all Uk GPs will now supply. medicines.org.uk/emc/produc...
I regularly have blocked ears from too much wax. I used to book an appointment to have them syringed at my doctors surgery but not any more due to covid. So I just use warm olive oil applied via a dropper and lay on my side for a couple of minutes and then plug it with cotton wool. Usually takes at least a week for the wax to soften and another week for the wax to come out and my hearing return. I do hasten it along with my little finger after a few days!
My hearing is fine but it just feels weird or if I move, I hear whooshing sound.
I found that the best way to unclog ears is to do a 50% to 50% mix of hydrogen peroxide and warm water. Drawl the mixture up into small syringe and spray the solution at the upper part of ear canal and spray it. The warm water will help melt the wax and the hydrogen peroxide will break it down and clean it. Let it sit for a minute and follow up with a warm water rinse. You may have a little wash sound in your ear for a while but that will dissipate it’s only the water in the ear that was left from the rinse and it will drain out.
I think of all the things out there that help compression socks do the most good for those type of problems. I’ve tried the electrical stem’s the foot pads that you stand on and the beauty of the socks is that you can wear them at night and get up in the morning with your feet feeling better than they did before you went to bed. You can also wear them during the daytime so it more or less it’s a win-win.
