How long after having a colonoscopy should I have to wait before going to the toilet again?

I think I went within 24 hours after mine. Which was pretty amazing considering what happened with the bowel prep the night before!

Bowel prep is the worst part a colonoscopy. I have one ery five years because my grandather and father died from colon cancer. I had an extra one last year because I developed Diverticulitis 35 years since it was discovered I had Diverticulosis. I dread them and just sleep in the bathtub. Keeps the bathroom clean.

I think it takes about 24 hours for food to become waste, so most likely about a day after having a meal following the colonoscopy. If you've not yet had the procedure then ask the doctor who does it.
