Carbohydrate Intake

Hello, I’m a late teen - currently trying to maintain my weight after losing 5 stone (my BMI is now 19.2 - so I can’t afford to lose anymore).

I use nutracheck to log my calories (at 2,400) per day - however it has given me 300g of carbohydrates per day. Is this too much?

Should I not be eating this amount?

Hello pleased to meet you.

I would with any nutrition and diet changes consult first your GP.

Do not know where you live but the UK has a wellbeing service run by local councils.

Advise on diet nutrition and anything else food.

Always be aware of losing weight does have it risks as losing body fat means heart and circulation can be changed.

As the heart might need to adjust and can get pains chest ones or after any exercise done slowly and carefully.

One mistake many people make is the misnomer around fat.

There are healthy fats included must be to help body systems olive oil fatty fish Salmon, Mackerel .

Nuts if not allergy use Walnuts , good for heart.

I have to share add also a balanced diet the word carbs is an essential again requirement.

If you look at the diet, nutrition of the Med area. Italy, Spain, Greece and other countries.

Diet comprises a lot of beans, pulses, grains, Pasta, Rice.

Combined with Fish, Lean Meat, plenty of vegetables.

I eat the following all above .

Main ones can help with diet, maintain nutrition.

Onions, Peppers, Courgettes or Zucchini, Spinach buy frozen.

Tomatoes, good contain lycopene just helps blood pressure, heart cancer prevention.

Add in certain spices herbs a good range included.

Parsley, Basil and spices Chilli can be dried flakes or whole.

Chilli spices included Turmeric and Fennel Seeds, also Cinnamon are used to help digestion and can in the case of Fennel Seeds helps with stomach disorders.

Garlic, useful for a variety of reasons mainly levels of blood pressure and heart circulations.

Blood pressure control Chilli may make you sweat but do cool the blood.

Also can actually help one other curb appetite often after a meal with yoghurt fruit, Fennel Seeds.

A breath fresher use with beans pulses.

Add to your diet always whole grains Pasta, Rice Bread.

Helps a lot.

Just used the Med diet and Paleo for a long time since coming off addiction.

This is a lot to take in sorry. Just the health issues I have means most medications are allergic to me.

So use research for my own health needs.

Often finding out new spices herbs to help.

The reason why many Countries adopt the above suggestions. Medically proved to help.
