Visible heartbeat in stomach/neck?

Hey all, I'm new here and just have a quick question about something that's been bothering me. I'm 27, 6'3" and weigh about 157lbs and for the last little while I've been able to see my heartbeat in my stomach, just below my ribs, and even in my neck. On top of that, sometimes if I sit still I can actually feel it throughout my body. It's also worse when I'm laying down. I know that it's probably very normal, and admittedly I do have a fair bit of anxiety and stress, but it's just not something I've noticed before and it's kind've freaking me out. I should also mention that I've recently been losing weight, down from about 170lbs to current since maybe Oct/Nov so I'm sure being thinner plays a role as well. Anyways, I just wanted to know, does anybody else experience this?

P.s. No, the weight loss isn't intentional.

Unexplained weight loss should always be investigated. I would have a chat with your doc and, if necessary a well-man check.

Your body mass index ( BMI ) is 19.5 which is towards the lower end but still not underweight. When you are thinner, you will be more aware of your blood pulsing in your arteries. As Osidge says, unintentional weight loss should be investigated by your GP
