Hi all, I've just found out that I'm booked in for my circumcision on the 7th of November.
I'm 38 and have type 2 diabetes. I know that having diabetes can affect the recovery time. I just have a couple of questions really.
How long can i expect it to take to recover enough so I can hit the gym again, and what would be the best way to take care of it after the procedure is done?
One more question for ya though, what should I expect after the procedure?
Cheers all
Paul

Sugar must be lowered before operation. After operation you expect an open glans which may be sucked like a strawberry. You may go to gym once the wounds are dried up
Hey man. I know what you are about to go through. My date is on November 1st all saints day so I hope it will be fine.
What you should expect is a little bit of tension and pain down there but with the aid of pain killer and anti inflammatory pills you should be fine.
You need to do salt baths to help the healing and put some antibiotic ointment on it to make sure you don’t get an infection.
The worst will be the first couple of days where you should try to rest and lay down so that your penis is the highest point of your body.
Also after the first couple of days you should start feeling better and the only you will notice is the head sensitivity and swelling both should subside and go down with time (usually 2-3 weeks).
You can hit the gym after a week if you do upper body workout and only lighter weight to not strain the stitches or over do it.
Type 2 diabetes easily controllable ...I had this surgery last month and I am still healing ...not all people heal the same way ...if you stuture your wound you may heal fast comparatively other way of surgery. Avoid erection to heal fast and take rest don't move unnecessary during 3 days ..avoid zym for atleast month ..excess pressure can cause bleeding so my suggestion avoid it ..it's surgery minor or major doesn't matter but it takes times to heal ..love your penis and give it immense love and support ..don't rush
