My penis is itchy after having sex

I never had this problem before. I have recently had unprotected sex with my girlfriend. The next day I woke up and found that the tip of my penis was very itchy. I pulled the foreskin back and noticed that it had some red, itchy spots. My girlfriend told that she has also experienced vaginal itching for a couple days before we had sex. We all practice good genital hygiene. Is this an STD or something else? Help!

It’s likely a fungal infection. You both should treat yourselves with a product such as canestan and see if that clears it up. If not you’ll need to see a doctor

You could be A)ALLERGIC to her B)If you use a SPERMA CIDE--allergic to THAT c)A condom allergy 4)You got some STD=I suggest getting blood for anyway for Strains of STD =if it is POS so is your GF..but first rule out "other things" like Allergic reactions to things used in BED--such as condoms or eve PLASTIC ornLATEX as in DILDOS

Thank you all, for your responses. I came to a pharmacist yesterday and after being told about my symptoms, he insisted that it was a yeast infection I might get from my girlfriend. Yeast infection is caused by fungus, so it's not dangerous and I can eliminate it by using antifungal cream. He gave me Fugacil. I have been only using this 3 times since yesterday, admittedly, I noticed some relief from the itching and irritation. My girlfriend also used it and got the same relief. So, I think it's really a yeast infection, not STD.
