Really bed headache at the point of ejaculation!

Hi I’m wondering if any of you guys on here can help?. Just lately when I’ve been having sex with the wife when it get to the point of ejaculation I get a really bad headache all over the back of my head and am in agony for hours after with the pain. When the pain is gone for a couple of days after I can feel where the headache was. This even happens with masturbation.. Getting me down now because this has been going on for the last month. I’ve tried allsorts, pain killers don’t even touch it. Any help much appreciated.

When masturbating or having sex, that generally increases blood flow and blood pressure. Head aches at the back of the head, where the neck connects to the head, are usually connected to blood pressure.

Check what your blood pressure is (it might be too high) and potentially visit your cardio doctor for a check up.

Then again it might be nothing, I am not a doctor, just giving a general tip. Better be safe than sorry.

I had this for about 6 months in the past, I never found out what it was, but ever since then I never had it again, this was about 2 years ago, good luck with it and hopefully it passes soon!

There is a very rare condition known as Post-orgasmic illness syndrome in which a man can be allergic to their own semen. It does have headaches and other flu-like symptoms associated with it and it tends to grow in severity as you age.

Now, the chances that you have this condition is minimum and likely not the cause. Only a medical professional would be able to accuarely diagnose this condition, but if no other common causes can be identified it could be of use.

I was getting similiar headaches to the point i had to stop. I am relatively healthy but not drinking enough fluids. I have one of the 3L water bottles now and drink a hell of a lot more now and no more headaches. On the science side better hydration means the blood will flow better also as i found out donating blood recently. Could be related to your issue. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply John. I’ve been put off from even trying anything sexual at the mo because the pain gets that bad I punch the back of my head where the pain is. I’ve been to the doctors and I’ve tried beta blockers and a couple of anti inflammatory tablets but didn’t even touch it. I’m not over weight I don’t drink a lot of alcohol. I’m at a loss. Will definitely try plenty of water though, that I haven’t tried. Thanks for recommendation will keep you posted. I’ve posted on here because I know some guys would have been there with the headaches. Any advice is muchly appreciated.
