Light Swelling above stitch line after circumcision

I got circumcised a week ago, and I have a few questions.

1. Do ice packs prevent the painful night time erections? If so, do you just leave them on through the night?

2. One of those erections brought the stitch line slightly down and revealed some swelling where the head meets the shaft, as you can see in the pic. Is this bruising from the stitches (or from the op) or an infection?

3. Can't really tell in the pic, but the whole stitch line has gone slightly down revealing the very top of the shaft. No bleeding at all, just when I compare it with day of the op, the part of the stitch line in the pic has gone down a bit. Is this ok?

1... I’ve heard Ice pack are supposed to calm the night time erections down but after a week your night time erections shouldn’t be as painful usually the second week the ease off and are manageable.

2...your penis will be bruised at it’s been traumatised cut and stitched not to mention all the veins have been cut short after the skin was removed. It’s healing well by the looks of things it certainly doesn’t look infected.

3...a stitch or two usually does fail due to night time erections but it does affect the finished product so to speak. The surgeon will have or should have put plenty of stitches around your incision should one fail. But 99% of people circumcised would have had a stitch fail including myself. But the stitch line will go down as the swelling starts to subside.

Hope that helps and good luck 👍

1) Don't drink past 6 PM. (drink plenty during the day but not past 6PM, some erections are caused by the body to keep pee in). When sleeping on the back, sleep with knees up. When sleeping on the side, sleep in the fetal position (google best to see what it is).

2) Not an infection, swelling of your shaft, perfectly normal and nothing to be worried about.

3) Looks fine, no need to worry.
