I have a big thick swollen ring between the incision and head of penis, it’s bigger than the head ( sticks out past head, imagine like a child’s rubber beach ring going around it under the head ). I’m on day 6 and it keeps getting bigger is this normal?
I also have a hard grey bit of skin/glue I’m not sure below the head on the underside by frenulum, is this normal?
I have no way of uploading pics, there’s no upload button, not sure how people are uploading pics.
You are correct but we are not here to diagnose. Plus many underage people posted which is wrong and illegal. And some people posted without any medical issue
Sounds totally fine you are still in the early stages 6 days is still early. By the sounds of it you are describing your inner skin which is swollen give it a few weeks and monitor it take photos for yourself. Keep your penis clean and dry etc. Any medical questions or medical concerns contact your doctor. If you require info on after care etc you can drop me a message and I’ll see if I can help you along your journey. You will have swelling for many weeks until your penis is fully healed including inside and outside don’t worry and focus on getting yourself healed.
Did you have glue or stitches? I had glue it’s a new method and it’s great. Was you able to remove all of your bandage without some being stuck to your penis with the glue.
Hi it was done with stitches, there are 2 splits either side of one stitch maybe caused by night erections on the first night. When I took the gauze off some skin stuck to it and ripped but that bit has pretty much healed. I’m finding it difficult to keep dry because if I dry wrap it in bandage my wounds stick to the bandage and reopen, if I don’t use bandage and dry my woulda stick to my leg or body and rip open. I’m wrapping with a small bit of Vaseline for sleeping (my sleep is bad up every hour with erections and pain from that). I’m seeing my doctor on Thursday
If you are still under 2 weeks I’d recommend bandaging your penis twice a day after you clean and dry I would focus on keeping it clean and letting it heal. Worry about desensitising at around 2-3 week mark or whenever you feel up to it.
The problem as mentioned is the keeping it dry. I’m finding keeping it dry impossible with ripping wounds open as my penis sticks to my bandage when dry and when removing the blood has attached to the bandage which means opening the wound when I remove it. My latest trial is cutting open a men’s tena pad and wrapping in that. When I’ve rested it on one in the open air my penis doesn’t seem to stick to it
Have you already tested to apply petroleum jelly on to wound or bandage. You can try 'Jelonet' paraffin gauze on first layer too. Then the bandage won't stuck in wound discharge. There is also non adherent dressings available. One of the cheapest is 'Melolin'. You need to adhere it with skin tape like 'Micropore'.
Wound care once a day is enough, cause the temperature on wound bed will fall every time you wash it. > slow down the healing process.
Wet wound is different than spreading petroleum jelly on to cleaned and dry wound. Why don't you forget the Tena pad first and buy proper gauze, bandage or dressing (whatever you call them in English).
I’ve tried gauze bandage and dressings but if you read my post again, it says using these with it or without petroleum jelly my wounds stick to the dressings/gauze/bandage
Have you tried to wet the gauze under shower (or table salt bath) first before just ripped it off too fast. I think second step is to try non adherent dressing. They are more easy to remove.
Instead of remove the bandage fro your penis remove your penis from your bandage I understand what’s going on if some part sticks to e gauze slide it off if you are in the shower use your fingers to hold it against your penis as you gradually free your penis from the gauzes use Vaseline as stated above it works wonders. The water will make the bandage heavy and trust me you want your fingers keeping it closely bonded to your penis until you free the bandage cuz Jesus I know the pain but it’s only for a split second
Found some non adherent large pads at home which I’ve cut and stuck together to make a bandage and gauze over the top to hold it in place seems to work. Just need to heal a split and some bleeding by frenulum. All dried at the moment as let air heal this morning. I never knew this would be so difficult!
You got this mate. Trust me it gets better as the days go by.

Give it time, you will be fine and will heal well. Had adult circumcision at 20
No pics needed. It will resolve in time-a lot of swelling occurs after adult circumcision. Scar healing takes months to year varies on your healing and ethnic background-good luck

I’m white so does that make it quicker or slower? I guess everyone is different with healing
Hello, how did you get on overtime? I’m on day 9 post op. The right side has a ring of extra skin between incision and bottom of the head which sticks out. The left side does not.
Anyway I know it’s early days but be cool to hear how you got on, thanks.
