Hypersensitive glands after a year of surgery

Hi guys,

I’m 24 years old and I’m dealing with an hypersensitive glands. I’ve got my surgery a year ago. Before surgery I’ve had phimosis, vaginal sex and oral sex were a painful experience due to the glands being too sensitive. Even a drop of water in the shower hurt when I retracted the foreskin to wash it underneath. Now after surgery I noticed that my glands is not as sensitive as before like just touching it now doesn’t feel uncomfortable. But as soon I rub it with more pressure it becomes uncomfortable. Mind you I can have a normal day to day life. I can walk outside and work normally. I got used to it to a certain degree with tight underwear. I dont feel pain while having vaginal sex but when I get oral sex the sensitivity is too much that it gets painful. When I masturbate I dont touch the glands because I dont feel any pleasure there. Even with lotion the sensitivity is too much to handle. What I’m doing is letting the glands hit the water directly. It’s still a little bit uncomfortable but its something I can handle.

My question is if somebody experienced this issue this long too and will it go away? Will the glands change to a pleasure zone with time or will this issue remain permanently?

And what about flashshlights? Can toys help improve healing?

Looking forward for your replay.

Hi. I am sure that one of our many circumcised members will have some advice for you from their experience.

Have you consulted a healthcare professional about your ongoing sensitivity?

Hi there, sorry to hear you're experiencing painful sensitivity in some extremes. My glands took a while to desensitive, but I found stopping use of Vaseline and just getting back into my old cotton trunks has really helped. It's been 8 months since the operation and now my glands is doing well and is pleasurable. The only point I experience some discomfort is one point of my scarline near my frenulum where stitch material is still dissolving under the skin - it's where my stitches were tied off. It's a tiny bump now and getting smaller each week. It sounds to me like you're healing at a slower rate than some, probably faster than others. I would consider speaking to a doctor to share your concern. Hope you're okay.
