Hi all,
I posted couple of weeks ago that I have swollen bump at one side of my newly circumcised penis. I visited my urologist and want to share here what he said.
First let me explain again my situation. I’m 2 months post circumcision and everything is going pretty well. The only disturbance I have was that after removing last remaining stitches by the doctor on 1 month, on left-bottom side there is a swollen bump, right under the head. I waited for a month and after not seeing any visible change decided to call my urologist.
He said that I need to visit him, because there might be something collecting under the skin. I visited, he examined, and said that there is nothing serious, the issue is that on the left side there is more skin left than on the right side (maybe something went wrong during the operation). I deliberately discussed with him pre-op that I want to keep as much skin as possible and only cure my phimosis. Anyway, he said that this excess skin is collecting under the head and forming this bump. It is less visible when erected (I would even say not visible at all) because the skin is stretching all the way. He said that this is pure visual issue, as it is not going to effect anything, there is still some swelling on the scar line and he said that as that swelling goes down the bump may also fix itself.
He told me to wait at least a year, if after a year I will still feel uncomfortable, or as he said “my bed partners will ask questions about it making me feel bad”, then I should do a revision operation, which as he said is going to be just 20% of the original operation.
So, this is my story. I was worried at first, but after the visit and finding out that it is pure visual thing, I feel much better. As of now I don’t want to go through the same hell again after one year 😅 but only time will tell.
Will be happy to hear your feedback.
Thanks for reading through!
