Swollen Meatus after Circumcision

Hey guys so I’m 2 months official after circumcision my meatus tip (pee hole lips) are swollen. Not sure if that’s the best way to describe it but they do look like lips so ya. Anyways is there anything I can apply to help heal and get the swelling to go down. Saw the urologist 2 weeks ago and he said yes it’s still swollen but didn’t offer anything to apply, such as some sort of ointment. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Is your meatus issue causing you any problems?

Just a burn like feeling as it rubs against my underwear.

Take care with ointments as the meatus is an entrance to the body and you could risk a UTI. Usually swelling will resolve over time and your urologist was not concerned. If you are worried, try contacting your GP for advice.

My doc prescribed Surfaz-SN for swelling and tab.Lyser D for 5 days

An anaesthetic/antiseptic ointment might help but see my comment above about infections.

Did you ever notice this before you were circumcised? I have this and always put it down to balanitis, which was part of the reason why I chose to be circumcised. Post circ it's still there but no burning, the burning I was getting precirc was from Zoons lesions and foreskin adherence on the glans.

try a cool compress to relieve pain and possibly swelling.Do not apply directly, wrap in a thin cloth and press gently.

I had to the same issue after. My urologist said the meatus will turn into squamous cell. It stopped swelling on me. He gave me a steroid cream to apply for the meanwhile and it helped a bunch.

How long did it take for the swelling to stop and what cream was it he gave?

Couple days & it was a steroid. I forget the name

hi I just seen your comment I had circumcision done 3 days ago my pee hole looks like lips it’s hard for me to pee through it is this normal as am scared that is might be a maetomy stomosis I mean when I pee it’s going everywhere and it’s a thin flow

I have the same issue, it looks swelling at day 9 ( Post - Ops ) and the urine stream splits when peeing. it is mildly painful when touch with underwear. Quite worried that meatus will be like this close forever. Any cream to relieve ?
