Hey guys, I need a little help.
I’m 26 yr and I had my circumcision a little over a year ago, about 6 months before I ended up getting married, due to phimosis. I am now dealing with premature ejaculation in most positions whenever I’m having sex. A few positions I still can last as long as I want but most now I can barely last a minute. I never used to have this problem. Any thoughts?
You can buy delay sprays from your pharmacist over the counter. First it as recomended on the instructions than if you still finish early you can apply more sprays as much as you need. Don't try to use more before trying it first as than it might be so strong that you would be unable to finish. This is something you need to experience by trial and error. Yes, delay spray. You can get them from amazon, I think they contain lidocaine or something similar. Usual Amazon guidance - read the reviews. Not used one myself, but they are supposed to work, some are FDA approved.Or use a condom? Or (seriously) train yourself to go off the boil a bit (think of something diverting - piles of tyres, tortoises, Donald trump)

Firstly, many congratulations on your marriage.
I don't know whether there are any issues with long-term and persistent use of delay sprays, but I have heard that it is possible for the chemical used (lidocaine, being one) to transfer from the penis to the woman and reduce her sensitivity as a result, so maybe try not to spray your penis with too much enthusiasm!

Understood! I picked up some lidocaine cream so I hope that it works, I’m just concerned that I’ll have to use it from now on, is this something that I eventually won’t have to deal with?
I'm just wondering how strong a numbing agent the cream is? If you find it isn't suitable I'd recommend you find a reputable sex shop and see what they have to offer. Have a look at the 'Lovehoney' website and have a browse. They have a very helpful customer services team, and you can be assured they will be able to answer any questions you may have - and there's absolutely no need to feel any embarrassment, either. By the way, are you UK-based?
As for your last sentence. I'm afraid I don't have an answer to your question. You said that in some positions you can last as long as you did pre-circumcision. Maybe those positions are not stimulating you quite so much as do others? I honestly don't know.

Thank you for the info! I’m US based, and just found out my wife is pregnant, so I’ll wait until she doesn’t have morning sickness to test out the cream and see how it goes!

Super congrats on the baby. On your question, will you have to use the cream forever? More than likely your speed of response will change quicker, slower, quicker, over time, and your control will change too, so probably not, but don't worry about it. Sex with Mrs Mobius will be different for the next few months too, she may say ' keep that thing away from me it's done enough damage', or she may be, let's say, very enthusiastic! Congratulations on marriage and circumcision! In the first year the head of your penis is still settling down, especially after not being exposed due to phimosis, and will become a bit less sensitive I assure you. Also, the sexual excitement of the first six months of marriage will wear off a little too but in a good way. I bet in a year you won't be cumming too soon. Good luck

I know the physical is everything to us as men. I’m 10 weeks post and I’m obviously still very sensitive l. I know I’m not lasting as long at all but I’m practicing more on controlling my breathing, heart rate, strokes and the mental aspect of it. Pelvic strengthening is important too.
Hi Mobius1, thanks for sharing. I was circumcised when I was young and so I can't fully relate to your heightened sensitivity in the short-term after an operation.
I did however suffer with severe premature ejaculation for several years after a few unsuccessful and slightly awkward early sexual encounters. I developed sexual performance anxiety where my nerves around sex (and how much I was now putting all my attention into the sensations in my penis) meant that I would only last a few seconds. Essentially, worrying about PE meant I had PE. I found a therapist who completely changed how I mentally prepared for and thought about sex, and this changed the outcomes I was getting and very quickly eliminated my PE.
If this sounds familiar then give me a shout - happy to talk you through what worked and changed for me. I personally wanted to avoid sprays and desensitisers as for me I felt like the problem was really in my mind. All the best with everything and congrats on your marriage!
