So, I had my circumcision 1 year ago, due to phimosis. The recovery process was tough, but things are mostly back to normal. However, sex is still pretty strange - basically, the sensation is very low, and I can hardly feel anything. In the begining, few months post-op, I couldn't even tell if my penis entered the vagina, ir was that numb! Things did get better with time, but the sensation is still very very low. I can barely feel blowjobs, if I happen to masturbate that day and then get a BJ hours after that, it can even be a bit painful (like the skin is irritated). When it comes to actual sex, everything is now psychological - I have to be "in the mood", and to actually think about some sexy stuff in order to cum, because if I don't, I think that I could go on for hours. For example, I'm having sex with my girl, it lasts too long, I can't cum, and if I start thinking about something else during sex, my penis will soften because the physical sensation is so low. Also, if I stop the intercourse for 2 minutes (to switch positions or places), my penis starts to soften.
Now, I know that one of the reasons is that my girl simply doesn't turn me on so much any more, but I also had sex with other women - they did turn me on, and I did get hard, but it was still very difficult to cum and I had to really focus and think about sexy stuff, talk dirty, spank her - I really have to try hard in order to cum.
I wanted to hear from people that had their circumcision at least 1 year ago - do you have same problems, does it get better with time, and do you have any tips or tricks?
P. S. I had to get circumcised because of the phimosis, so I really don't want to hear from anti-circumcisers, explaining me the cons of the procedure and suggesting skin restauration.

Senstivity greatly decreases after circumcision.Things will not improve but your brain will adapt to precurcumcision state and with in a year or two you will forget what it was to be before circumcision.
Thanks for the reply, but I have to make one thing clear - I didn't have sex before circumcison, due to phimosis (I tried it once or twice and it hurt as hell, even got paraphimosis that first time), so it's not like I have this problem because I'm used to pre-circumcision sex.
I faced similar problem .Masturbation was much easier before circumcision.Also intensity of orgasm is now reduced as compared to precurcumcision state.But overall I am satisfied.Its now much cleaner and there is no smegma or foul smell from penis.
There should be no foul smell or smegma if you wash properly - circumcised or not.

I got mine done because of smell. I showered daily so it wasn’t that I wasn’t keeping it clean. Had other issues like incontinence (dripping after urinating) that contributed to it. Would get trapped in the skin. Never any smegma. Condition has been gone post-op. So far, 8 days after the surgery. Could be other factors apart from hygiene contributing to the smell. Although, would have to agree that smegma only results from poor hygiene. Something wasn’t getting done right.

Circumcision is not going to make any difference to your incontinence symptoms. I hope your doctor is still looking into this issue?

May have been a side-effect of having it done. Can’t explain it. However it’s been a non- issue since the surgery.
I also circumcision because of phemosis 2 days before and i bet you sex with phemosis = 5 minutes sex(maximum) {premature ejaculation}... And satisfied your women is more important then satisfied yourself soo dont regret buddy ... I know what will happen when you sex with phemosis its disgusting .. and there is chance that your girlfriend leave you because you cant satisfie her...

This is something that you should be discussing with your doctor. You need to find out what of your problems are physiological and which psychological. The worst thing to do is sit at home worrying about things. Take action to look after yourself.
Same thing happen to me. I’m much older at 71 now but still sexually active. Mine was done in December 2018. I have not cum once since the while having sex. Masturbation also takes way to long and doesn’t feel as good now. I was told by more than one doctor to give it time it will come back. I don’t think so. I was given a low and loose cut which I feel after much research now that it is the worst cut you can get. I now wish it was high and tight. My wife is in favor of me getting a revision done but 2 doctors I’ve talked to don’t want to do it. I never wanted to get circumcised but they thought the inflammation could lead to skin cancer. I reluctantly agreed and now it’s the worst decision I’ve ever made. I haven’t gotten used to a slightly exposed glans yet but I guess with not much feeling down there it doesn’t make much difference. Let me know if you find a remedy to the problem.
Doctors don't know alot about circumcisions. Majority of men seem ok with the surgery but it seems to remove at least 10-30 percent of sensations in most cases. What I hate the most is most doctors blame it on psychological issues even though they just removed a large piece of skin containing thousands of nerve endings. Most guys have no issue getting it up after surgery, there's just no sensation anymore.
I started dating someone in April 2020 (sexually active) and in June 2020 got circumcised (was suppose to in March 2020 but hospitals closed down due to COVID-19 precautions). I've always had problems with sex due to glans sensitivity, so I welcome the idea of my glans being way less sensitive.
I already have come to terms that while having sex, I may think of other women or get into other habits to stimulate me to climax, but that was even the case with masturbation before the circumcision for me. Nothing new there.
I booked a session with a psychologist\therapist to see if what is going on is a mental thing. I've always had trouble with glans hyper-sensitivity as I lived with phimosis for over a decade. My approach is, I took the huge step and got circumcised, now I need to find out what is going on in my mind.
Sex is more mental as we get older and go through trauma and changes, so don't panic that you aren't what you were. If anything, you now gained the power to last longer.
I have read from this forum that many men who had phimosis before being cut experienceat least some sexual problem after being cut. Is your frenulum intact??
I don't see too many people complaining. If that's because they don't care, know they can't change their circumcision or they actually didn't lose much sensitivity I don't know. Personally sex went from 10/10 to 2/10.
I never imagined it be this bad. I read alot and not many guys complained. Talked to two friends who seemed OK with it. Basically said you lose a little but it's basically just different, not worse. For me it's only worse. I'd take my balanitis symptoms back if I could rather than this. Not sure if it's my radical cut, my bad doctor or just anatomy.
What type of cut do you have? Sadly, yes, I have the same issue. I hate my circumcision. I talked to a few guys before the surgery and they seemed fine with it so I thought I would be too but no, it's the worst decision I've ever made. I've realized after the surgery that doctors know 0 about the potential consequences of the surgery.

I was have the same problems , but after years i see a doctor who advised me on skin stretching device , so he told me to stretch the foreskin till the point i start to feel good after one year of stretching , now my penis lock like partially circumcised.
How are things getting on? I’m worried about this. My urologist told me that Loss of sensation with circ vs not having the circ and keeping my phimosis which ruined my sex life cos I had pain and then also no sensation cos foreskin wouldn’t retract, would be worth it....
I think you should stop a little and think about what you need. Of course, I believe that in any relationship, there is a period when a partner no longer excites, but there are many ways out of this. The problem of penis sensitivity is another question, but I did not understand why you wrote that you have a relationship with other women. I'm supposed how many problems you guys have after circumcision.
