Post Circumcision - Day 1

The tip of the penis (urethra opening) is a bit swollen today. Feels harder too and wee is spraying everywhere due to partial tightness. Assuming this is irritation related or even due to firm handling of penis during procedure. I put Vaseline on it last night so perhaps this might also be a reaction? Anyone else had that problem?

Sounds quite normal. Swelling cause of wound inflammatory phase takes normally about a week or so.

FYI: If you had an operation yesterday. It is counted post-op day 0. Next day is post-op 1 etc.

Hay Man, that's completely normal it will settle in a few days you will need to sit down to pee if you don't want a clean up job ever time. You may also have some other swelling and bruising coming up after a couple of days.

Cool thanks. The Doc didn’t warn me the tip might swell too and create a water display! I was sitting down but having kittens at how some of the flow was travelling back up towards the clean bandage! Might stick some cling film over the bandage each time I wee as a precaution.

You did well to choose one of the two top circumcision doctors in the UK.

You will have very considerable swelling for several days and the recommendation is always to sit to urinate whilst the swelling distorts the meatus (piss slit).
