Swelling 1 year after circumcision

Was circumcised last April due to phimosis and had been told that the swelling would reduce with time. After a year I would of expected to see some progress but has looked the same since the start. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure that is swelling? Does it disappear when you are hard? It looks like a remnant of inner foreskin or frenulum to me.

Wasn’t too sure of what it was so just assumed it was swelling. It almost disappears when I’m hard so I guess there’s no harm in it

That looks like swelling to me

Hi Man, it's like an extra bit of skin for whatever reason at your scar line. I had something similar after my circumcision it was close to where my frenulum was. I had it removed 3 to 4 months after with a slight revision in that area.

Did the revision take long to heal? Just wondering as I might go for it but not if the healing process is nearly as long as the original circumcision.

Who knows how long yours would take to heal - we are all different - or what amount of revision will be possible. Life tells most of us that perfection is rarely attained and that it is a subjective concept.

No it didn't take long I only had that area removed I had 4 stitches it was fairly well healed within 7 to 10 days. it was still a bit fragile probably for 3 to 4 weeks, but it was nowhere near as bad as having the full circumcision. the rest of yours looks fine and has healed well 👍🏻

. Have you seen your doctor? curious what they have said?

Not been in about 4 months. When I was there they told me that I would just have to wait for it to heal

On another note have you lost any sensation or much sensation since?

Just another question does your head stil stick to your balls and thighs when you sit down or cross your legs

On enlarging the pic you appear to have a swelling apart from the general swelling. I would have a doc look at that.

I was also on revision of circumcision. A similar problem on the ventral side. Recovery time was shorter. Small swelling. I like to do it. :-)

But choose a good doctor. Revision is more complicated than circumcision. A bad doctor makes a new circumcision with remove all inner foreskin.

How are you doing now? Have you spoken to your doctor about what it is and options?

I have this but it's maybe twice as bad. Had it done January 2019 and it hasn't got any better. The doctor, a urologist for 30 years said, he'd never seen this before. Please let me know how you get on

I don’t think so it’s circumcised swelling it’s something!!bcs circumcised swelling lasts for 4-6 weeks max it’s something strange !!may circumcised doctor did cut skin properly

Maybe it's not swelling but the skin stretch from being swollen for a long time? Either way talk to a doctor and see what can be done about it.

A dermatologist should be able to correct it with a laser.

One can see it’s been about a year as keratinization like mine completed. If no pain, and fine with erection and sex life, it seems like a cosmetic issue. I cannot believe swelling after a year. By then all mine was long gone. If it works, I would leave be. It looks fine, we heal differently. If you are bothered cosmetically, then back to Dr who did circumcision or a plastic surgeon. That is your choice. Personally, I would leave it be, but that’s your choice.
