Pollock Procedure Circumcision Australia

I’m 20 and just recently (11 days ago) gotten circumcised using the pollock procedure. Looking for anyone that’s gone through something similar to compare.

My procedure was entirely cosmetic, I had nothing wrong with my foreskin to warrant getting it cut.

I went to the clinic had a quick 10min consult then the next day they did the procedure, the doctor used skin glue and stitches to close the wound. Following the procedure I needed to change the dressings and vaseline twice a day and wear a sports cup. No showering or bathing for over 1week.

The first day, I was surprised by how minimally painful things were but things quickly changed and now every dressing change is so painful. Not to mention night time erections mean I haven’t had a proper sleep since the operation.

I also started to get a notable amount of bleeding on like day 9 which was scary because I hadn’t gotten any bleeding in the days directly after the op.

Today is the day I’m allowed to shower, but I still need to keep the gauze and Vaseline on after for another two weeks. This seems so different to what I’ve read on this forum from other people, no one seems to talk about having to keep dressings on or avoiding water.

Hey mate I’m sure everything will be fine I havnt really heard of or seen much of the pollock technique but have heard generally it is supposed to be very good results and minimal pain

It’s been two months since my circumcision, also by the Pollock Procedure.

A few days in one side of the skin glue broke from a night erection. In the morning during my dressing change I freaked out, because it looked like something out of Resident Evil down there, and went to the hospital.

Everything turned out to be fine but dressing changes hurt for a few weeks after. I think it was mostly from pressing the hard glue against the surrounding skin, and then the discharge peeling with the bandage.

I suggest lots of Vaseline all over, and hold it in a cup of warm water for five minutes or more before changing.

It’s been nine weeks now I think, and I’ve been able to have sex for the last two.

There was a few times where I felt like I made the worst decision of my life, but just push through. It will get better.
