Dealing with ED for several years and always thinking it was just a temporary thing. Apparently its not and was prescribed Viagra. Now I'm too afraid to take it due to the side affects I've read about in these forums. I cant believe what some of these guys go thru and not hit the local ER. So I'm thinking that I'm out too pasture for good. These "Golden Years "plain suck!

What side effects are you worried about? I have experience of using both viagra and cialis. I much prefer cialis it’s less “in your face” and always works when I am sexually aroused. Have another chat with your doctor. Enjoy the golden years!
I was prescribed Viagra about ten or so years ago. It did what it was meant to do, however, I didn't like the side effect that I suffered. Headaches. It wasn't earth shattering, just uncomfortable and a little distracting when you're trying to perform.I spoke to my doctor who changed me over to Cialis and I've never looked back. The other good thing about Cialis is that the effect last longer. I don't mean a raging boner for hours on end. I mean that I'm able to get erect again the next day. Around 36 hours seems to be the length in my case. others, of course, may be different.
I've used both Viagra and Cialis now and then. No bad side effects with either but I prefer Cialis which in UK can be obtained cheaper as Tadalafil. It lasts up to 36 hours too.
