Rezum treatment for age enlarged prostate

I recently went through the cystoscopy which was a tad invasive and undignified but have been put on the waiting list now for rezum treatment… basically using steam to kill off prostate tissue.

Has anyone been through this one ?

The instrument used looks much thicker than the cystoscopy camera so I’m glad I’m being numbed from the waist down but I’m dreading what it’s going to feel like as they try and shove it down the small hole in the eye of my penis.

After the cystoscopy I was badly bruised internally for over a week and was really uncomfortable in the groin area and penis, leading to bad testicular pains.

Any thoughts on the treatment and what happens afterwards ?

I have been told I have to have a catheter fitted for a week after. Not looking forward to that either.

I've had two cystoscopies but no prostate treatment. I'm not sure about that sorry. I passed blood for a couple of days after the first cystoscopy.
