Hi, I’m 18 and I had my circumcision on the Monday of this week, it is now Thursday. I took the bandage off Wednesday morning and have been trickling hot water over the wound to keep it clean, I hope this is correct as I’ve seen posts about using soap and not using soap so I got confused..
Anyways, beneath my glands is two fatty parts which I’m not sure what they are and have never seen them on a penis before. Can anyone confirm what they are and if it is normal? I think it makes my penis look ugly and weird.
I’m still healing of course, with the skin just where my foreskin was cut being quite swollen.

Had my op 6 days ago was surposed to have a Frenuloplasty but my foreskin had got so tight in such a short time that they did a circumcision the pain especially peeing is unbearable i think there is alittle bit of blood running from the wound site to the slit of my pee hole and it keeps drying so when i try and pee it's blocked the pain is unbearable am on antibiotics now just beginning to think i should have just never had the circumcision and just put up with a tight foreskin and infections all the time.
I don’t seem to have problem peeing, I was worried it would sting because it is close to my frenulum stitches but it doesn’t hurt badly. Sorry to hear that it hurts and you regret it, I do still have thoughts about regretting my decision and how masturbation sounded easier with a foreskin, even if it was tight. My tight foreskin meant when I peed my foreskin would fill and balloon but I’d just sit down on the toilet to avoid the spray. I wasn’t advised about looking after my wound very well so I’m worried about infection but so far it’s good I hope, some clear/yellowish fluid from my frenulum wound but I hope that’s okay
Afew friends i work with say they had this done in there younger days they say when it's first done is very uncomfortable but does get better i have diabetes so that doesn't help don't know where in the world you are but this op really is only carried out on health grounds here in the UK it's not a operation they like to do unless they really have too.
Hi dazla76, sometimes you can have swelling that can temporarily block the urethra that you pee from use some wet ice cubes it may help reduce any swelling you have you may also have an infection it's good you have started antibiotics then. it sounds like you had developed a tight foreskin and were getting infections so I wouldn't regret having the circumcision. you will be glad you had it in time when everything is healed up. it can take some time though for everything
I has a circumcision performed about 3 weeks ago and can confirm that I pretty much looked the same as you. Behind the head of the glans ( tip) a white " crust " formed which the nurse told me was completely normal and part of the healing process ( I was worries about infection).
There's a lot of swelling which goes down and things start to Knit together and look a bit more familiar. Cheers
Please don’t use hot water or soap. Boil water and sea salt, let it cool and bathe the area about 3/4 times a day for a few minutes then let the area dry naturally or very carefully pat dry.
I found applying ice (not directly) to the area at least 3 times a day really helped with the swelling.
Once the swelling starts to go down it will look more normal.
Hi, that looks ok for just a few days. it can be normal to have swelling like what you have around your frenulum if you use some ice for the swelling as some of the guys have suggested and the salt water is very good for keeping it clean I would avoid soap or shower gels at the moment. don't worry about how everything is looking at the moment it will all change in time don't have any regrets you will be glad you had it done. it sounds like you had a severe case of phimosis and you said bxo as well it needed to be done then bxo or lichen sclerosus is not something you can leave and hope it gets better it needs treatment.
If you need to go out you can wrap him up with some non-stick dressing if your wound is still weeping and wrap some gauze over that and a tight pair of Boxer briefs to keep everything snug it helps with the sensitivity which I'm sure you have😊
If it is weeping any blood from the wound or you can have lymphatic fluid from your frenulum. but if everything looks dry just ordinary gauze dressing would do to wrap your lad😁
Yeah that's the lymphatic fluid that's completely normal. the ordinary gauze dressing might stick to that wound and you wouldn't really want that. you can get a non-stick dressing and just put it on that part and then wrap with ordinary gauze dressing then but it should dry up in a few days.
Hi hlr and dazla. Circumcision can be very difficult in the first few days. Hope when it fully heals you will begin to enjoy it. Masturbation is just as good - you will soon discover new techniques. Your glans penis will probably feel less sensitive but it will still contain enough sensitivity and you might be able to last for hours! Good luck to you both.
As others have said, all looks normal for day 4. An NHS 'house style's low and medium tight circumcision. No obvious signs of infection. The swelling is to be expected and will settle in time. The salt water technique really should help with healing. Good luck and keep us posted.
It's all norm if will be fine kid look at post after mind circumcise wise . That's how you look after it's all over don't panic your knob will be fine and wanking soon like any 18yr old guy and u will forget the foreskin in the cheese bin lol
I’m confused as to what I should be doing when it comes to putting my penis in my underwear? Due to no bandage it is very uncomfortable when touching my underwear and when it oozes or bleeds it makes my underwear smelly and dirty and if I try to take them off I have to slowly peel it from my wound...
Hi, you should be wrapping your glans up with some of the non-stick dressing and gauze it makes it more comfortable in your boxer briefs. if you go back through your post I mentioned it to you before. be careful you don't get infected if you don't use clean dressings everyday.
15 days post op, that's exactly what my penis looks like now. The thread is about 2 years old, so don't expect to get a reply, but hope it all knitted together.
Hey, here’s the reply! Haha, yep almost 2 years on and I’m so happy with it. I panicked so much during the recovery stages because of how it looked but it’s all turned out great. Just be sensible, follow the doctors instructions and be patient! Good luck bro
Ha ha thank you for the reply mate! Really appreciate it, that sounds very reassuring, glad to hear it's all worked out 😎, looking forward to the full heal
Personally I find it much better, before it was just a slight tug as I couldn’t move much of the skin cos of how extremely tight it was. Now I’m free to masturbate much more differently. I was worried that I’d need to rely on lube for the rest of my life but that’s not the case, I’ve been left with enough skin to still move up and down. Also, where my frenulum was, is a new sensation spot so I’ve managed to reach orgasm before by just playing with that and not even jerking. It’s much more fun!
You have done partial circumcision bro?? My also have much skin covering glans only front part of glans is open in flaccid condition is same with you??
No mine was not partial, my skin sits below my glans. However if I wanted to I could pull the skin to cover some of my glans because they left it quite loose.
Ahh that’s fine.. do you know anyone who partial circumcision before 1-2 year? I want to ask many questions to him as i have partial so confused how it wokrs
Thanks for the response man, Also how long did it take you to recover fully? And what method worked best with reducing swelling, Also I had phimosis and got a circumcision, I’m 7 days post op. How long did it take you to get used to the masturbation after , I hope I was left with enough foreskin too I can’t really tell rn
